Questions owners ask us most
Will asking about financing hurt my credit?
Not by asking. A conversation and a soft review don't affect your credit. A lending partner may run a credit check later, but only once you decide to move forward with a specific option.
The bank said no. Does that mean I'm out of options?
Usually not. Banks turn down good businesses because of strict rules like time in business, collateral, or one weak year on a tax return. Other commercial lending partners look at things like monthly deposits, invoices, or equipment. Approval is never guaranteed, but a bank no is rarely the last word.
What should I have ready before I talk to anyone?
Your last 6 months of business bank statements (the official PDFs), a photo ID, and a rough idea of how much you need and what it's for. If you invoice other businesses, an accounts receivable aging report helps too.

Ask the customer for a mobilization deposit before work starts.
Ask suppliers to bill against the customer's purchase order, not up front.
Break the job into billable milestones written into the contract.
