What we collect and why
We collect what a commercial lending desk needs to review a business funding request: your contact details, basic business information (name, state, time in business, revenue range, amount and purpose), and the documents you choose to upload — typically business bank statements, processing statements, tax returns or financial statements, and a photo ID. We use it only to review your request, match it with one lending desk and keep you updated.
How documents are stored
- Uploaded files go into private storage that is encrypted at rest. The storage is not public and cannot be browsed or listed from the internet.
- Files are opened only through links our system creates on request, and those links expire.
- Your document room is reached through a private link and requires a one-time code sent to your email before any files can be viewed or added.
- Information moves between your browser and our systems over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
- Our team dashboard is password-protected and requires a second sign-in step (an authenticator code).
Who can see your file
Your Trifecta advisor, and the one lending desk your file is sent to for review. Your file is never sold and never sent to multiple lenders at once. If that desk declines, we talk with you before the file goes anywhere else. If you invite your accountant to upload for you, they get their own access link and cannot see your photo ID.
How long we keep it
If a file is never placed with a lending desk, or is released without funding, the uploaded documents are deleted automatically after a set period with no activity (currently 180 days). The basic contact record stays so we can answer your questions later. Files that are funded are kept as required for business and regulatory records.
What we never do
- Sell your data.
- Run a hard credit pull just to explore your options. No hard credit pull to explore your options.
- Ask for the username or password to your bank account.
- Send your file to several lenders at the same time.
If something goes wrong
If we learn of a possible security incident, we investigate, contain it, and notify affected people as required by state breach-notification laws.
